The overview above is a reading guide. The sections below explain the full terms.
01About Yardii and these terms
Yardii is an independently operated marketplace using the name Yardii. In these terms, “Yardii”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator of this service. These terms cover the Yardii website, installed web app, accounts, listings, messaging, and related services. Contact us at yardiisupport@gmail.com.
These terms apply when you use Yardii, create an account, list products, or place an order. Read them together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the transaction features. Nothing here removes rights that applicable law gives you.
Our current marketplace focuses on the UNIOSUN community and its campuses. Campus names describe the community served; they do not, by themselves, indicate university ownership or endorsement. Availability depends on vendors and their service areas.
02Who can use Yardii
Yardii welcomes people of different ages and does not impose a general 18-and-over browsing rule. Legal requirements for accounts, purchases, selling, and children’s personal data still apply.
If you are under 18, involve a parent or legal guardian before opening an account or making a purchase or sale. Where the law requires their consent or participation, they must provide it. A younger user should not independently enter an agreement they cannot legally make. Parents or guardians can contact support about permission, supervision, or an account concern.
Payment providers may impose their own eligibility and identity requirements. Vendors must have the legal authority and any permissions needed to sell their products and receive payments. You must not misrepresent your identity or use someone else’s payment or identity information without authority.
03Your account and security
Provide accurate account information and keep your contact and delivery details current. You can register using email and a password or Google sign-in. Yardii also requires its email verification process before features such as ordering become available.
Keep your password and email verification codes private. Use a payment account you are authorised to use. Tell support promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, impersonation, or an incorrect payment. You remain responsible for activity you authorise; these terms do not automatically make you liable for every unauthorised action.
A delivery handover code is different from an account verification code. Share a delivery code with the relevant vendor only after you have actually received the order.
04How the marketplace works
Yardii helps buyers find vendors, view listings, communicate, place orders, and track delivery. Vendors are responsible for the products they list, including their ownership, legality, quality, description, price, availability, and fulfilment. Yardii operates the platform and its payment and support features, and remains responsible for duties the law places on it.
A verification badge indicates that a vendor has completed Yardii’s review process. It is not a guarantee of product quality, authenticity, delivery, or future conduct. Reviews reflect users’ experiences. A sample listing, if labelled as a sample, is illustrative and is not a promise of available stock.
Check the item description, quantity, vendor, campus, delivery arrangements, and total before paying. Ask the vendor about sizing, condition, ingredients, allergens, suitability, or any other detail important to your purchase. Do not rely on a listing as medical or other professional advice.
05Orders, prices, and payments
Prices are displayed in Nigerian naira unless stated otherwise. The checkout total is calculated from the current product price, quantity, and any applicable promotion. Review the final amount on the checkout and payment screens. Promotions apply only within their stated period and conditions.
Paystack processes online payments. The current model allocates 95% of the product sale amount to the vendor and 5% to Yardii as platform commission. The buyer also pays the payment processing fee shown at checkout. Do not assume that a vendor’s separately discussed delivery charge is included unless it is expressly included in the total.
A pending checkout is not confirmation of a successful payment. Check Your orders and your payment reference before paying again if a transaction is delayed. Contact support if you were debited but no paid order appears.
Yardii does not provide an escrow service that releases funds only after delivery. Paystack splits successful payments into the designated accounts; bank settlement timing, reviews, and reversals are subject to Paystack and the relevant financial institutions. A delivery code does not trigger a new release of held money.
Keep payments within the provided checkout where possible. Direct transfers and arrangements made outside Yardii may not have an in-app payment record, which can limit the evidence available to support. This does not remove any statutory remedy you may have.
06Delivery and receipt confirmation
Buyers and vendors should agree on the delivery or collection location and reasonable timing. Buyers must provide usable contact details and directions; vendors must communicate delays and deliver the agreed items. An “in transit” status is the vendor’s delivery update, not proof that the buyer has received anything.
Only share your six-digit handover code or confirm receipt after the order has arrived. Vendors must not ask buyers to confirm delivery early. Keep relevant messages and order details if there is a problem.
The app currently allows a buyer to dispute an incorrect receipt confirmation within 48 hours of confirmation. This marks the delivery record as contested for review; it does not automatically issue a refund. If that in-app window has passed, contact support. The 48-hour feature does not shorten your legal rights to complain, seek a remedy, or dispute a payment.
07Cancellations, returns, and problems with orders
If you need to cancel, receive the wrong item, find a product defective or unsafe, or do not receive an order, contact the vendor promptly through the order conversation and contact Yardii support if you need help. Provide your order reference, a clear description, and relevant evidence. You do not have to wait for the vendor where the issue concerns safety, fraud, or unauthorised payment.
Cancellation and return arrangements depend on the transaction, the product, the vendor’s disclosed conditions, and applicable consumer law. Perishable, customised, or already-used goods may require different handling. A vendor’s policy cannot override mandatory consumer rights. Yardii does not apply a blanket “no refunds” rule.
There is currently no automatic, self-service refund button. Support can review the matter and coordinate an appropriate resolution with the vendor and payment provider. Whether a refund, replacement, repair, or other remedy is appropriate depends on the facts and legal rights involved. We cannot promise a refund amount or completion time before review; the payment provider and bank may also need processing time.
You may contact your bank, payment provider, a regulator, or a court where appropriate. Be truthful in any dispute. Delivery records and relevant order information may be supplied to the payment provider as evidence, as described in the Privacy Policy.
08Additional responsibilities for vendors
Yardii may apply limits to catalogue value, outstanding order value, or the number of open orders. These limits may change with confirmed deliveries, risk reviews, or an authorised manual decision. They can pause new listings or orders; they are not an escrow arrangement. Contact support if you believe a limit or restriction is incorrect.
- Keep your shop, product photos, stock, prices, opening hours, contact information, and promotion details accurate. Describe defects and important limitations clearly.
- Complete required identity and payout reviews. Submit your own genuine documents and connect a bank account you are authorised to use. A payout-account change may require a further review.
- Supply lawful, safe products and meet applicable food, product-safety, licensing, tax, and consumer obligations. Do not list stolen, counterfeit, recalled, illegal, exploitative, or prohibited items. Do not use Yardii to sell items requiring age checks or other authorisations you cannot lawfully provide.
- Respond to orders and complaints, honour agreed prices and accepted orders, and cooperate with genuine refunds, payment disputes, and delivery investigations.
- Use buyer names, addresses, phone numbers, and messages only as needed to fulfil the order and resolve related issues or meet a legal duty. Do not publish them, sell them, or add buyers to unrelated marketing lists without an appropriate legal basis.
09Content, messaging, and community conduct
Treat other people respectfully. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, send spam, impersonate others, run scams, post unlawful or exploitative content, expose another person’s private information, manipulate reviews, or try to bypass account, payment, verification, or security controls. Do not interfere with the service or collect other users’ data without permission.
Post only content you own or are authorised to use. You keep ownership of your content and give Yardii a non-exclusive permission to store, format, and display it as needed to operate the marketplace and its in-app discovery and promotion features. This permission does not transfer ownership or authorise unrelated use of private messages or identity documents.
Reviews should describe a genuine experience. Eligible buyers may create, edit, or delete their own reviews. Report suspected infringement or harmful content to support with enough information for us to investigate. Do not include passwords, payment credentials, or unnecessary sensitive information in messages or reviews.
10Moderation, restrictions, and leaving Yardii
We may review reports, hide listings or content, restrict orders, suspend a shop or account, or take other proportionate action to address unlawful conduct, suspected fraud, safety concerns, or material breaches of these terms. Urgent protection or legal requirements may require action before notice. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and allow you to respond through support.
You can stop using Yardii and request account closure by contacting support. Logging out or uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Closure does not automatically cancel a paid order, reverse a payment, or erase records that must be kept for a lawful reason. The Privacy Policy explains deletion requests and retention.
If you disagree with a moderation or account decision, contact support with the account or order reference and your explanation. Do not create another account to evade a restriction.
11Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful and reliable service, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free listings, continuous stock, or that every notification will arrive. Network outages, maintenance, vendors, banks, and service providers can affect the experience. Check the order record and communicate with the vendor when an alert or status is unclear.
Yardii does not guarantee every vendor’s conduct or every third-party service. Each party remains responsible for its own duties. To the extent permitted by law, Yardii is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that it did not cause. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12Applicable law and resolving disagreements
These terms are governed by Nigerian law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Contact support to seek an informal resolution if you wish. This is not a requirement to surrender any right to complain to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, another competent authority, or a court with jurisdiction.
If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, it will be applied only to the extent allowed, and the remaining provisions continue to operate. No informal delay in enforcing a provision permanently waives it.
13Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service, its operator, or legal requirements change. We will update the date and give appropriate notice of material changes through the app or a suitable contact channel. Where fresh agreement is required, we will request it. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights arising from an existing order.
For account, order, content, or policy questions, email yardiisupport@gmail.com or visit Contact support. If Yardii becomes a registered business, the operator details and any relevant changes will be reflected here.
